Collection: Shattuckite
Shattuckite is a relatively rare copper silicate mineral known for its vibrant blue color. It is often found in association with other copper minerals such as malachite, chrysocolla, and azurite. Typically blue, sometimes with greenish hues due to the presence of other copper minerals. Vitreous to silky. Due to its relatively low hardness, Shattuckite should be handled with care to avoid scratches and damage. It's best cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners. Ranges from 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale.
